Move Emails from the "Other" Folder in Outlook

Issue

You keep "losing" emails because they are going to the "Other" folder in Outlook.

Audience

Anyone using Outlook or Outlook Mobile.

Instructions

Outlook Focused Inbox separates your inbox into two tabs - Focused and Other. Outlook tries to put your most important emails on the Focused tab and your less important emails on the Other tab.

It is not unusual to find an important email on the Other tab. Following are instructions for how to move emails from Other to Focused. The first set of instructions are for Outlook; the second set for Outlook Mobile.

For Outlook

From your inbox, select the Other tab.
RIght-click the message your want to move.
Select Move to Focused if you want only the selected message moved. Select Always Move to Focused if you want all future emails from the sender to be delivered to the Focused tab.

You're all done.

For Outlook Mobile

From your inbox, select the Other tab.
Tap the message you want to move.
Tap on the 3 dots at the top right of the screen.

4. Tap Move to Focused Inbox.

5. Tap Always Move, Move Once, or Cancel.
